As it happened I saw her at a Meetup (Sorry, it was called a Freezup due to the weather) Monday night and was very surprised, as she had been on Twitter for several days enthusing about the coming trip to see her brother in Hawaii and have a big family Christmas. But there she was at Smith and Wolensky with Stoli helping to ease the pain of AA and MIA. Thank goodness she was amid a crowd of friendly social media icons and followers.
As I ask above, was this just American Airlines, or did this being Miami have something to do with a complete fiasco of customer service?

Did I do the link thing wrong? I saw that your blog had a "create link" thing and clicked on it, which put a link to your blog on mine, or in the Create Post form. I expected it to leave a note on your blog that I was linking, but that didn't happen. We're both in Blogger.
I do 100K miles a year on American, and stuff happens, particularly with changes in security and airport construction everywhere. Plus the fees for checking bags has caused chaos with carry-ons. That said, the Miami check-in staff is the worst in the world, and will turn a minor issue into a nightmare, which is the opposite of what AA staff would do in any other city. That is not specific to AA, but any airline's Miami ground crews. You have to dread any interaction with any of them.
I was suspecting that but don't travel nearly as much as I used to.

How is this even related to the blog "Miami-Dade Dems"? This post made me finally unsubscribe from this blog. The content is off-topic enough, and then the "victims" have to keep on ranting on the comments? Enough is enough!
This was about something that happened in Miami-Dade County, involving a public transportation facility financed by tax revenue. Anonymous has a different idea about blog content and I still wish him/her a Happy New Year.
