Doing a little housekeeping on the links in the right-hand column, I decided to add web sites for our Democrats in Congress, Kendrick Meek, FL-17, and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, FL-20.
First time to Rep. Meek's campaign site, and I see he is featuring an article he wrote for Army Times about the lack of African-Americans in the top ranks of the military. Food for thought.
And here's Rep. Wasserman Schultz' campaign page.
The link section is organized alphabetically, so that clubs, draft movements and watch blogs appear together.

Cong. Kendrick Meek is not serving his constituents well. I have had complaints from three people who say his district office is run poorly -- no one there knows anything about legislation. He sailed into office the same way the Diaz-Balart brothers did, on the family name. He makes no attempt to do anything about war funding -- just goes along with the crowd of spineless Democrats who are not fulfilling the promises they made in '06 (to end the occupation of Iraq) because they are afraid to look like they don't "support the troops."
Kendrick Meek participated in a photo op at a Liberty City Family Clinic a few weeks ago -- a meeting about SCHIP. This meeting was a sham. Pelosi, Wasserman Schultz and Meek were posing for pictures with the people at the clinic the same way that Bush uses the troops as a background. And the people I spoke with who came out of the meeting knew it. Why didn't they stay in D.C. and try to twist some Republican or Blue Dog arms to get this needed legislation passed?
My main complaint about Cong. Meek is that he never got back to his constituent, Eric Oriol, regarding Eric's letter and supporting documents asking Cong. Meek to co-sponsor H. Res. 333 for impeachment of Richard B. Cheney. O.K., maybe Kendrick swallows the Democratic leadership's ill-advised position of not impeaching the criminals in the White House. But, Kendrick, for God's sake, have someone call or write to respond to your constituent's meeting with Ms. Moreau-Lafleur! And what kind of Deputy District Director does not follow up with your D.C. legislative director to make sure that the constituent gets an answer? The meeting was Aug. 14th! Eric called the district office repeatedly and, to this day, has not received a reply from his Congressman. Even my disgusting Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart had the courtesy to reply that no, he isn't in favor of impeachment!
